"The Colomber"

Soundtrack
I found God on the corner of 1st and AmistadWhere the West was all but wonAll alone, smoking his last cigaretteI said, "Where you been?" He said, "Ask anything"Where were you when everything was falling apart? All my days were spent by the telephone that never rangAnd all I needed was a call that never cameTo the corner of 1st and AmistadLost and insecure, you found me, you found meLying on the floor surrounded, surroundedWhy'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you?Just a little late, you found me, you found meBut in the end everyone ends up aloneLosing her, the only one who's ever knownWho I am, who I'm not and who I wanna beNo way to know how long she will be next to meLost and insecure, you found me, you found meLying on the floor surrounded, surroundedWhy'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you?Just a little late, you found me, you found me!The early morning, the city breaksAnd I've been calling for years and years and years and yearsAnd you never left me no messagesYou never sent me no lettersYou got some kind of nerve taking all I want!Lost and insecure, you found me, you found meLying on the floor, where were you? Where were you?Lost and insecure, you found me, you found meLying on the floor surrounded, surroundedWhy'd you have to wait? Where were you? Where were you?Just a little late, you found me, you found me!Why'd you have to wait to find me, to find me?

The song "You Found Me" by The Fray, fits into The Colomber because the lyrics kind of fit the song. The shark figure finds the main character everywhere he goes. At the end of the song, it says "Why'd you have to wait to find me, to find me." This relates to the story because at the end of the story, The Colomber ends up being a nice character. Had he known that, his life would have been much more peacful.
